Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in Hanna, Alberta, Canada in the year 1995. The current members are Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, Daniel Adair. Nickelback is known for songs such as "Rockstar", "Photograph", "Savin' Me", "How You Remind Me", "Someday", "Far Away", and "If Everyone Cared".

[edit] The Beginning

Nickelback was formed in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, in the year 1995. Nickelback's name comes from the nickel in change that band member Mike Kroeger gave customers at his Starbucks job. He would frequently say, "Here's your nickel back".

Hesher was Nickelback's first EP. Most of the songs on Hesher were re-realesed on Curb. The songs "Truck", "In Front Of Me" and "DC", were not re-realesed on the album Curb. Hesher is now a collectors item, as the band was not popular in 1994.

Nickelback's debut album was called Curb. It was first realesed in September of the year 1996. It was re-realesed on June 25, 2002. The picture on the original album cover is of a wrecked car. The picture on the re-realesed version of Curb has a lone road with a double yellow line.

The State is Nickelback's second album. It was originally realesed in 1998. The original cover features a blue poster of what probably is a terrorist. On the re-realesed album, the album cover features a young boy in a jail cell. The State held a peak position of #130 on the Billboard 200, which beat their previous album, Curb's peak of #182.

[edit] Silver Side Up

Silver Side Up is Nickelback's third album. It was realesed on September 11, 2001. The album features "How You Remind Me", a song frequently played on the radio. It is the only Nickelback album to have the b in Nickelback backwards. The album cover features someone crying. The album has four singles including: "How You Remind Me", "Too Bad", "Never Again", and "Hero" ("Hero" is only on this album in some countries).

The Long Road is Nickelback's fourth album, which was realesed on September 23, 2003. The album cover features a bridge over water under an orange sky. The album has five singles.

[edit] All the Right Reasons

All the Right Reasons was Nickelback's fifth album. It was realesed on October 4, 2005. The picture on the album cover features an old car on a long road. It contains seven singles including: "Photograph", "Far Away", "Savin' Me", "Animals", "If Everyone Cared", "Side of a Bullet", and "Rockstar". The album is now Nickelback's best selling album in the United States of America, surpassing Silver Side Up. "Photograph" became the sixth song in the U.S. history to surpass the million download mark, Photograph hit the million download mark after 28 weeks, making it the 2nd fastest climb in digital history. The album contains more singles than any other Nickelback album.

Dark Horse is Nickelback's sixth studio album which was released on November 18, 2008. The worldwide Dark Horse Tour was announced on November 26 with a series of North American shows. The Dark Horse Tour is expected to start February 25, 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA at the Sommet Center.

[edit] Appereance on the Spider-Man soundtrack

Chad Kroeger and Mike Kroeger preformed Nickelback's song "Hero" on the Spider-Man movie soundtrack. The song features Josey Scott, Tyler Connelly, Matt Cameron, and Jeremy Taggart. The music video for the song is at the end some of the Spider-Man DVDs.
